The Ancient City of Tralleis will host the "International Mythology Film Festival"

Tralleis, known to have been founded by Thracians and Argives, is known in historical sources as "the place where the first musical notes were written." The city, known for its ancient theater, Roman baths, and gymnasium ruins, has been unearthed through years of archaeological excavations.

🔹 AA Live for instant developmentsAccording to a written statement regarding the festival, the Aydın leg of the event will be held at the Nevzat Biçer Conference Hall in Efeler's city center. The children's film "Earwig's Song" will be shown at 10:30 a.m., followed by "HisTroy," a modern interpretation of Troy, at 2:30 p.m.
Concert by YoJuliet in TralleisThe second part of the day will continue in the ancient city of Tralleis. At 5:30 PM, the Swedish band YoJuliet will give a concert there.
The duo, consisting of Julia Sandwall on strings and piano and Yohanna Eek Björnulfson on vocals and percussion, will appear before the audience with their repertoire that brings together themes from mythology and literature.
Following the concert, a talk titled "The Common Story of Humanity" will be held at 6:30 p.m. Moderated by Prof. Dr. Murat Çekilmez, the talk will feature speakers including Prof. Dr. Pınar Fedakar, Prof. Dr. Aynur Civelek, and festival director Gülşah Elikbank.
As part of the program, writer and journalist Özlem Ertan will also convey the deep-rooted narratives of Anatolia with her presentation on Hittite Tales.
All festival screenings and talks will be open to the public and free of charge.
About the festivalThe 3rd International Mythology Film Festival, with its theme "Mythology and Women," will host moviegoers in Izmir on September 22-24, in Manisa on September 26, at the Istanbul Beyoğlu Cinema and Rami Library on September 27-28, and at the Çanakkale Troy Ancient City on September 29-30.
Directed by Gülşah Elikbank, the festival offers a wide range of content, including short film and digital game competitions, international film screenings, panels, talks, and award ceremonies.
As part of the festival, the "Ülgen Award" will be presented to those who add value to cinema, and the "Mergen Award" will be presented to works that provide cultural depth through their academic productions.
